Peeko is a privacy-first fiction checker for writers who want another pair of eyes without handing over the pen.

What Peeko is for

Peeko highlights places that may deserve attention—such as punctuation spacing, tense consistency, nearby repetition, sentence rhythm and optional clarity concerns. It explains what it noticed and leaves the sentence untouched. There is no replacement-sentence generator.

Known limitations

• Peeko uses rules and context clues, not a human understanding of a whole novel. It can miss issues and raise deliberate writing choices.
• Dialogue, direct thoughts and time shifts are recognised heuristically. Unusual quotation styles, nested quotations and experimental punctuation may be classified incorrectly.
• British and American profiles cover selected conventions; they are not exhaustive dictionaries or full grammar systems.
• DOCX import extracts readable paragraph text. Complex layout, comments, tracked changes, footnotes, images and formatting are not preserved.
• Learned choices match a technical fingerprint of the observed wording and context. Substantial revisions can make a choice appear new.
• Data is local to each browser and exact website address. Use complete backups before changing device, browser or Peeko address.
